We all have a story of where we came from and these stories are what make us who we are today. My grandparents are all dead, and if any are left living on my dad's side, they might as well be dead to me. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we take family history seriously but I don't have any pioneer stories like most church members, my stories are of cowboys, rebels, people who stood their ground for their beliefs and those who secretly did good works without anyone ever knowing. I don't have any old church members, the church is very new to my family but I love their stories all the same and when I hear the stories it makes me feel like I actually do have family, it makes me feel connected in a way that most of the time I don't. Looking at these pictures now I don't feel so alone in the world and it makes me excited for my girls to get to know the people who made their lives possible.
